Karen Foote is a spiritual intuitive healer and the owner of Moon Magic Wellness, a wellness studio where clients come to de-stress with Reiki, massage, Cranio Sacral, Chakra balancing, crystal healing and more.
Karen has dreamt about opening a wellness studio from the time she was in her twenties and opened her first studio called Whole Self in 2002. Since then, Karen opened Rebalance With Reiki & Massage in 2015, which she had to close in 2020 due to Covid but was able to continue offering some of her services virtually. Karen was sure she would reopen a bigger and better space when the time was right and opened her new space, Moon Magic Wellness, in Hillsdale, NJ at the end of 2020.
Moon Magic is a place to go to relax and go within. It is a place to learn and get connected with a like-minded, spiritual community. I recently had the pleasure of working with Karen and seeing her beautiful space for a fun brand photoshoot and I am excited to share more about her magical journey below!

Please tell us about your business and the services you provide.
I am the owner and founder of Moon Magic Wellness. Moon Magic is a place for people to go to get their spiritual fix. It is a space where eyebrows won’t be raised when you mention that you saw repeating numbers, feathers or spirit animals! I offer private healing sessions, Reiki, massage, sound healing, meditations and more. I also partner with other talented spiritual specialists to bring workshops such as mala bead making and crystal gridding to the studio.
What makes your business unique?
My mission is to bring spirituality down to earth, making the "woo woo" more accessible to people. I remove the seriousness and formality of spiritual topics so it feels more approachable and less intimidating for people. I help shift people's energy in a profound way, helping them to nurture and honor what's been deeply buried within themselves.
I also host a podcast called The Spiritual Seekers podcast, which explores topics of a metaphysical nature from a grounded perspective. My hope is that sharing my spiritual stories will help validate the experiences of others.

Please describe the transformation your clients experience by working with you?
I awaken my clients’ spirituality and/or validate that what they're feeling and experiencing is REAL. I want them to feel NORMAL and comfortable with accessing their inherent spiritual gifts.
How did you get started doing what you do? How has your career path/business evolved over time?
I was introduced to massage from a TV show she saw at the age of 16 and began experimenting giving massages to my mom. I had no clue that massage therapy was even an actual career until someone at a college party (where she had a line of people waiting for her massage) told me that I should go to massage school! After completing her Bachelors in Sociology from Rutgers, I immediately signed up for massage school.
My path as an intuitive healer was propelled further after being introduced to Theta Healing, which led me to more energy healing and Reiki. I really connected with Reiki and chakra work and the benefits it provides. This work has taken center stage and it has been a dream come true to offer a space for healing and build a community of like-minded people. To read more about my journey, click here

What do you love most about what you do?
Sound Healing with the Chakra Crystal bowls, all aspects of Reiki (giving, receiving, and teaching), playing with crystals, and basically anything to do with the metaphysical arts all really light me up and I LOVE to share this passion with others.
Why did you decide to invest in visual branding for your business at this time?
It has been a few years since my last brand photoshoot. I have also been in my new studio for a while but did not have any professional images of the new space. I was looking for new photos in order to update my website and to use on social media.
